Case Study: Demonstration of Fume Extraction Solutions for a Philippine Hair Salon Client

Case Study: Demonstration of Fume Extraction Solutions for a Philippine Hair Salon Client

2026-03-16

Market Background

As the global beauty industry continues to expand, hair salons are increasingly using equipment and procedures that can generate chemical vapors, fine smoke, and odor during daily operations. Treatments such as hair straightening, keratin processing, and high-temperature styling tools may release airborne particles and volatile compounds into the surrounding workspace.

For salon operators, maintaining a clean and comfortable indoor environment has become increasingly important, particularly in Southeast Asian cities where indoor workspaces are often compact. As a result, portable fume extraction systems are gaining attention as a practical way to improve air quality near workstations without requiring complex ventilation installations.

Client Profile and Application Scenario

On March 11, a client from the Philippine hairdressing industry visited the company to learn more about localized air purification solutions suitable for salon environments.

The client operates a hair salon where multiple styling procedures are performed throughout the day. During certain treatments, localized smoke and odor may accumulate around the working area, especially when heated styling tools and chemical products are used simultaneously.

The client was therefore interested in compact fume extraction equipment that could capture smoke close to the source while maintaining stable airflow performance in a small workspace.

Our Demonstration and Solution

During the visit, the client was introduced to two models designed for small and medium workstations:

l FES150 Fume Extractor

l FES200K Fume Extractor

A live demonstration was arranged to show the suction capability and airflow performance of both models under simulated smoke conditions.

FES150 Compact Workstation Solution

Key parameters demonstrated during the test included:

l Airflow: 258 m³/h

l Filtration efficiency: 99.97% at 0.3 μm particles

l Power: 150 W

l Filtration system: 3-stage filtration (pre-filter, middle filter, main filter)

l Noise level: 50- 60 dB

The units compact size (280*240*315 mm) and 1.2 m flexible extraction arm make it suitable for single workstations or small indoor spaces.

FES200K Dual Workstation Solution

For scenarios requiring higher airflow capacity, the FES200K model was also demonstrated.

Key parameters include:

l Airflow: 320 m³/h

l Maximum static pressure: 2200 Pa

l Filtration efficiency: 99.99% at 0.3 μm particles

l Power: 200 W

l Single extraction arm configuration

The higher airflow and static pressure enable the system to maintain stable suction performance, especially when smoke is generated continuously in localized working areas.

Client Feedback

After observing the demonstration, the client paid particular attention to the visible suction strength at the extraction nozzle and the multi-layer filtration design.

The client noted that capturing smoke directly near the working position could help improve the air conditions around salon treatment chairs, especially during high-temperature styling procedures. The compact structure and moderate noise levels were also considered suitable for customer-facing service environments.

Conclusion

This visit demonstrated how localized fume extraction technology can be adapted beyond industrial workshops and applied in service-based environments such as hair salons.

With airflow capacities ranging from 258 m³/h to 320 m³/h, and high-efficiency filtration at the 0.3 μm particle level, the FES150 and FES200K models provide practical solutions for managing smoke and airborne particles in compact indoor spaces.

As indoor air quality becomes an increasing concern across different industries, portable fume extraction systems are emerging as an effective option for maintaining cleaner and more comfortable working environments.
